A Customer's Unique Story

Yesterday, I received a message in my inbox from a customer who recently purchased one of my Penny Lane necklaces, which you can see here. Once in a while I get notes from customers thanking me for their orders and complimenting the jewelry, but I think this might have been the first time I had the pleasure of hearing the backstory of why this necklace was a perfect choice... Now, not to keep you waiting, here is the message I received:

This isn't a question, I just thought you might like to know the significance of my buying this Beatles necklace.

Recently I discovered that my aunt Penny had a love child she gave up for adoption during the sixties. She is 7 years younger than I. After talking a lot on FB, we've discovered that we both share a mania for all things Beatles. She told me that when she was a little girl she considered giving herself the nickname Penny. This was before she even knew she was adopted, let alone that that was the name of her birth mother!

Anyway, while hunting on Etsy for the perfect Christmas gift for her, I came across your Penny Lane necklace and knew it was meant to be!

I was so amazed at how thoughtful this message was and was thrilled my handmade jewelry business could provide such a lovely gift. It's so interesting how such unique situations happen sometimes. :)
